Tiny Living for Tiny People, Japan make the most of the space they have

Being very fortunate to be able to travel and see the world and because of what I do, I am always looking at housing, land and the ways that different cultures utilise their own spaces so I have seen a lot of different living options.

Take Japan for instance, land can be on the more costly side especially in the big cities and so for city dwellers the only option can be to build small.

These tiny houses or apartments called “narrow homes” are typically built on plots of land less than 50 square metres and have been around since the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Not for the claustrophobic, the modern day “narrow home’s” are designed so beautifully and artfully that I couldn’t resist to show you how other’s live and that compared to these, we all live in mansions!
